The church stayed open to the faithful throughout the renovation. We carried out the work in the upper and lower church in stages over about six months, so that one of them was always in use.
Scope of work
We carried out the installations in both churches and, in the lower one, also the foundation drying, skim coating and painting. One contractor was responsible for everything.
- Grid connection and photovoltaics
- Lighting of the altar, pulpit and reliquaries
- Sound system inside and outside
- Multimedia screen and automatic organ-playing system
- Bell control
- Pew heating and gas heating with automatic controls
- CCTV and lightning protection
- Foundation drying, skim coating and painting
A dry lower church instead of damp and mould. The foundations of the lower church were wet. We dried and waterproofed them, installed drainage, and only then did the skim coating and painting. As a result, the new walls and installations are not exposed to damp. Together with the church, we took care of the parish house and the lighting of the parish grounds.
The gas heating controls keep the church at a minimum of 9°C.
The parish has longer cover for the work carried out. After about 2 years, the installations are still working without faults.
Drying, installations, sound system and painting were all done by one company. The parish did not coordinate several contractors.
